Think of life as a book and your time as sheets of paper that capture the choices you make or choose not to.
The big question here is, ‘Who is writing your life story?’ I know before you are an adult you have a guardian or parent doing that for you on major decisions. Did you know that just by merely having a dream about who you want to be in the future is a massive contribution to writing your own story?
Have you noticed that people invest more time in what they like or what pleases them? A person who likes soccer will most likely invest their time in watching soccer and knowing all there is to know about it. The story changes if your dream is to be a professional footballer.
Instead of just watching soccer, you would probably practice soccer at school, or home or even join a club. One celebrity footballer says he started playing soccer on the streets of Brazil with a vivid dream that one day he too would play professional soccer player.
The simple tips for any young person to create and build the future they want includes:
1) Having a dream.
2) Actioning the dream.
3) Envisioning themselves as a success in the area they are dreaming of.
4) Knowing what they can do NOW to have the future they want later.
5) Look up to someone who has achieved what you want. This can be done online or offline. They do not even have to know you by name.
6) Find a mentor or coach to set things in motion and help you achieve success faster.
